I understand your feelings, and while at least Poison the Well are definitely some teenage angst (I just care that they slay tbh) I'd say Unbroken capture a nihilistic dissatisfaction with the world that can only come with the experience and legitimate alienation that comes with being truly ****ed up after the hormones wear off. There's a raw despair, societal horror, and misanthropy that elevates it far above whininess and self-centered angst, which makes the emotion feel like a gaping wound rather than bitching.
