For the first two tracks, I was entertained. Then we get to track 3, "Gas Masks Vicars And Priests" and it's got a real filler thing going on. Pretty unmemorable all the way around and sporting an awkward chorus, it just doesn't really fly as classic material. The final track on the album, "I Need Discipline" is straight up awful.

I don't mind the singer as such (until that last track), but she's severely limited and not exactly very skilled, passionate or unique in any way. Bands like this were really dime a dozen back then and I don't see what makes this particular disc a classic.

The two first tracks were fun and had a bit of a Motörhead thing going on (or a Girlschool thing, if you will), but as a whole, it's a pretty flawed EP of material that isn't that great in any way to begin with.

Sorry. I really, honestly did feel a lot more positive about during just the first two tracks, but this just strikes me as being a rather low quality band.

It's not even that sleazy or awful. It's middle of the road metal done in a somewhat half assed manner.

The middle of the road is the best place to drive if you wanna fuck with the most amount of people. And half assed is just the American way.

They blew a bunch of execs to get a record deal, only to realize in the studio that they had no idea what they were doing. So they did Metal. #FollowYourDreams

I've got nothing against it on a conceptual level.
Staying in your couch, doing nothing, is the worse choice.
They choose to do make minor trainwreck.

Come on now Shaz: did you really expect anything more, looking both at the cover and the track titles? High concept prog rock this ain't! I have yet to listen to it, but I like the idea of the irreverent Slade/Girlschool/Kiss style of just really not giving a **** (or, perhaps in the case of these young ladies, the very opposite!) and just going for it. Don't you get it? It's a spanner Ori threw into the works with the deftness of a saboteur jamming a clog in the works of the machinery of the bourgeois and then legging it. Not, I would imagine, meant under any circumstances, to be taken seriously. I would imagine the keyword here is FUN and an attitude of "**** it, we're in the studio. Let's get something for all the head we gave." Amen, sisters. And I have yet to hear it, but I think Hawk is right, maybe you don't.

I really don't like the "but it'sjust supposed to be fun" argument. As if "fun" doesn't come in degrees of quality. I think this album is poor on many levels, honestly, and I don't think it's too much to expect any art/entertainment to not be of poor quality.

Let's not forget that Girlschool, Kiss and Slade were actually good at what they were doing.

Just relistened to this classic. 10/10 unashamed sleaze with legit catchiness and lyrics that would make even the greasiest pussy eater blush. Not just great because it's fun, but because it's punchy and spirited garbage of the very highest grade. It's cruising around with your friends in the summer looking for parties distilled into aural (sex) form.

Tbh, even though it's sacrilege, I would rate this right up there with most of Girlschool's output, only with less inhibitions.

I seriously wouldn't even bother partying with anyone who could listen to this without having a huge grin the whole while. If Spinal Tap were women (and, you know, if they were real) they'd be Oral.

I really liked this album. Gritty, low budget metal at it's finest, and sexual innuendos galore. As Oriphiel said, this is just a fun album if you don't take yourself seriously, and I definitely appreciate the ladies ear for pop hooks. I would have rated this higher if it was just a little bit longer. As you'll find out when it comes time to review Shai Hulud, some albums are perfect at a short length like this, but this one could have benefited from a longer tracklength. I'm sure Oriph will just interpret this as me needing more Oral in my life, and he's probably not wrong.

Hey, it's an average. If only three people vote, and all vote 10, that's 30 divide by three is ten, so it's in.

How many people need to vote before it's in? What I mean is; if I vote 10 when one of my albums come up next, and no one else bothers to vote, does that mean it's a certified 100% classic? :D

I guess, yeah. It is an average so I can't see any other way that can work, unless we instigate another rule, like maybe a minimum of four people have to vote? Which would then kill off this one. Whatchaz think? I don't know: Blank invented the scoring system. I'm just trying to implement it the way he does. Maths was never my strong point. Six of one, two dozen of the other. See? :D
