Into The Everflow is an amazing and basically perfect album. Certainly the best prog metal ever which probably isn't that high a mark since the genre mostly sucks balls. |

I always like a good clanking, "stringy" bass guitar sound like this. Reminds me of Steve Di Giorgio's playing in Sadus. If I'm gonna nitpick, I'll say that the songwriting could be a bit better. Seems quite all over the place a lot of the time. Quote:

Apologies to both you and Batty, but I didn't like this at all. Quote:

Love the lyrics of that song. Perfect metal head attempt at writing bitter "scorned lovers" type lyrics: All the times we had together Were they real or just a fantasy So tell me why I wasn't good enough for you Just maybe you're not good enough for me Well I've taken all the **** I will take from you And I've only just begun to see the light You've been running around, having fun with anyone I don't believe you have the right |
^Sounds Good to Me is a good song too. It could have totally been a radio hit. I put it in a mixed folder of mp3s I made for my mom without telling her that it was made by a metal band

^Especially a thrash metal band, usually those kind of ballads are reserved for hair metal bands.
Speaking of hair metal, Ratt's a favorite of mine and a great choice for some melodic metal that still has some bite. |
Gotta say I'm not really into hair metal. But the guitar solos are often fun in that style of music, so that's nice.
