Jimmy Chamberlin Complex (Smashing Pumpkins)

Jimmy Chamberlin from the Smashing Pumpkins is slated to release his first solo CD in late January. I heard some news on the album and decided to look for some audio from the upcoming album. I found audio streams for "Life Begins Again". I have included them at the end. What do you yall think of the audio streams of the single? “Life Begins Again”?

Billy took a poerty class, I guess now he's doing book signings. Some friends hooked up with him at a bookstore, he didn't say anything about music to them.

zwan broke up, billy is doing a solo album, and jimmy's song sounds pretty good... and no, zwan were not just chicago...how could u say that? they even toured europe...

Hey, it's pretty good. I like that song, haha. Man, I have been waiting for Billy's solo album forver. Then Zwan came out, and I was content. Then they broke up, and I was heartbroken again. So now, maybe I can be happy again. I would be most content if The Pumpkins could reunite and play shows again. I would be first in line for tickets to that. haha, but thats another story. It's a good song. I would certanly give his album a looksy.

The Jimmy Chamberlin Complex

Former drummer of Smashing Pumpkins.....J.C.C. came out with a cd on Jan. 25 (Life Begins Again). I've downloaded one of the songs off the album, and it's good. Jimmy is a very interesting and talented drummer who's been in the music biz for a while now... You should check them out.

The Complex:

Jimmy Chamberlin: Drums
Billy Mohler: Bass, Keyboards and Guitar
Sean Woolstenhulme: Guitar
Adam Benjamin: Fender Rhodes

I actually heard a song from JCC a few months ago and it actually sounded pretty decent. I dunno if I'll get a chance to check out this cd, but if you give it two thumbs up and a couple song names you've liked, I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

It's on my list of cd's to get. I'll probably give you a update sometime in May.

Ok, so I finally got the album around Wednesday... I've got to say it's hard to choose my favorite tracks off the album because I thought that it was an all around great album. But if I had to choose I'd say my favs are the following:

"Streetcrawler"- Just a really good instrumental track, where Jimmy shows off the peak of his musical ability on the drums.

"Cranes of Prey"- Another good instrumental track, with cool guitar riffs.

"Love is Real"- Just has a really nice flow to it, and good vocals sang by Rob Dickinson.

"Lullabye"- An amazing track. The way that the vocals relate so nicely to the fill patterns on drums is phenomenal.

The strongest tracks on the album would have to be the instrumental ones. Some Smashing Pumpkins fans would probably enjoy "Loki Cat" because it has Billy Corgan singing on it. I thought it was good, but a little bland compared to the other tracks.
