I'm missing something here because I feel like after ten years I would have found out this information. I've never seen a new poll vote bump a thread in "New Posts" up top.

I think I only started using the new posts function after being a mod for a bit to better keep an eye on posts. It's a learning process.

Anyways, what's the first track supposed to be?

When ever someone votes in a poll it'll bump that poll'ed thread up to the top of the New Posts list. The action of voting by a user creates a new time stamp for that thread just like posting in it does.

By the way, I use the new posts function almost exclusively. I try to read as much as I can. If I am away for a few days I'll just mark the forum as read and start over.

I'm also the type of person who can't have unread emails. I either read them or delete them.

This has been a thing the whole time you've been here. What are our mods even doing?

Back in the day I remember someone explaining how they (the mods, or maybe it was just Urbs) hated polls cause when some new person came along vote - it (the poll feature) would (what is known as) "necrobump" an old thread. They almost had a moratorium on polls. Which didn't make sense to me at the time cause a former mod (Ethan) use to make them like crazy. Anyways the objection was mainly cause people would rather just vote than talk about the subject (kinda like what that guy just did right now.) The one thing I remember about the old mod crew was everyone and everything could get under their skin.

It does feel strange talking about Led Zeppelin without Chulas. It's just isn't the same without hyperboles about Led Zeppelin and in real life pulp fiction stories.
