Don't you think "Happens All The Time" is awesome? I do. I can't wait for "A Different Kind Of Pain" to hit the stores the 30th of August.

sleepy jack 11-18-2005 08:40 PM

Shit.

Merkaba 11-18-2005 08:43 PM

Fairly bland, a lot like this other band called Soil.

Music Is Pwnage 11-18-2005 09:42 PM

im wearing a shoe, and decided to hide the other one in the popcorn so my mom cant find it.

^that's what i think of Cold.

spraggy 11-19-2005 07:08 AM

alot of people seem to dislike cold because they dont have a hard hitting sound.i love them,i think their past albums have been very depressing although i think their new one is great.i liked it even more after reading an interview with the singer, he went through alot of really serious **** after their last album came out. i think they are underated and are growing more and more as a band.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 11-19-2005 07:14 AM

See thats just weird. Why like it more because the singer was depressed, it makes no difference to the music.. Bands are there to play the music, not for fans to relate to or sympathise or whatever. If he wanted to get across a certain message/emotion in the songs, then thats really something you should have been able to pick up on yourself, if it was any good. I wouldnt know, I havent heard the new album and I dont intend to.. They're just bland, and sound no different to however many other bands there are doing the same thing right now.

that is a very narrow minded view on music. music means alot more to some people than it obviously does to you. when i hear lyrics to some songs and don't know exactly what they are about i get intrigued and want to find out more about the song and where it came from, which in some cases can mean that i like the song more after finding out what it is about. do u have any idea how many bands out there are famous and sell albums simply because everyday people can relate to their music and their lyrics. u obviously see things only at face value. lol so u are prepared to sit there and say that they are bland and sound no different to other bands but u wont listen to the new album to actually find out if what u are saying is right.

Hardly. Good music will get the point across without you needing to read up on the members of the band and the things they've been through. It should mean something to you,and not just trigger some memory of something you've read about the vocalist. Sometimes, yes, I get different messages from songs to what other people might get, but that's not because Im closed minded about it, its because thats just what I hear in the song. Music isn't like watching a film, its not straightforward, every single person will hear something different in every song.

I like cold because of how i can relate to so many of the songs. and the feelings and emotion coming out in them. and researching the band reassured me that it was real and not foney like other bands out there which is also appealing. and he wasnt depressed when he wrote the new album, he was happier than ever. but then again u wouldnt know that. because apparently bands are "ONLY THERE TO PLAY MUSIC" lol

ArtistInTheAmbulance 11-19-2005 09:26 AM

But I don't hear Cold as full of feeling and emotion like you do, I just hear the same music played over and over again, I guess it loses its effect after the nine zillionth band. From what you'd said before, it sounded to me like the band members' experiences made the album more emotive, which doesnt happen with me unless the band is pretty emotionless, songwise. But like I said, everyone is different with music, whatever floats yer boat is fine by me.

But... My opinion towards music is not narrow minded.. If I go by your argument, I have to research on the band and their experiences to enjoy music fully, which is crap. The members' lives don't make the music any more appealing to me, because the messages and emotion are already there in the music.

cold

thanks for your input so far

everyone has there own taste in music...

i personally can relate to many of the bands songs, before i ever read up

on the band.

its just mellow stuff i like to relax every now and then

and thats what this music does for me.

when i want to get heavy i'll pop in pantera, maiden,or metallica(old school of course).

SaTaNsChIlD666 11-19-2005 03:26 PM

there one of those band that i think arent amazing, yet there not terrible (greenday, simple plan, GC, FOB.)..so yeah there ok....there old stuuf is pretty good.

olpfan 12-17-2005 07:02 PM

bungalow 12-17-2005 07:03 PM

no.

riseagainstrocks 12-17-2005 07:33 PM

^stop spamming. yes that was spamming

I've never been a fan of Cold. They (along with Three Days Grace) seem to write the same song over and over. Stupid Girl? That was about as bad as it gets.

Merkaba 12-17-2005 07:38 PM

Yeah same opinion as above ^.

I liked them the first time I heard a song of theirs. Then I heard another and I thought Windows Media Player was playing the first song on repeat. Too limited, as if theres no passion when they make music.

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 12-18-2005 12:50 AM

yeah...just another mainstream hard rock band. i never was a fan. i used to like three days grace a lot, but now, not so much.

Neo-Angelus 12-19-2005 05:43 AM

i like with my mind and the end of the world (i think that is what it is called)

they are an ok band.

SaTaNsChIlD666 12-27-2005 01:44 PM

i really only like two songs from themgone awayhappens all the timeother than that i dont really care for them

The Drunken Terd 12-27-2005 02:17 PM

**** Cold.

Sabgoat 01-01-2006 03:07 PM

I personally think Cold is a awesome band.. there new last two albums indeed did get alot softer.. but still there's not one song thats not simply amazing. each and every song.. the melodies, everything is just WOW!.. A different kind of pain.. is a amazing album, its right up there on my list.. for anyone who loves good voice, lyrics.. and pretty much nice rock music i would say Cold be the band to listen to.. compared to most rock bands nowa days this band really does rule..

sleepy jack 01-01-2006 03:10 PM

Uhh...cept for the fact they're one of the exact rock bands that are boring, lame, and sound like everyother popular rock group out today.

EDIT: See Chevelle,Trapt, Breaking Benjamin, 3 Days Grace etc.. Isn't anyone sick of how bland it is?

Sabgoat 01-01-2006 03:40 PM

I like Chevelle. i think there new album is Awesome!..

Breaking Benjamin there good.. i like two songs off of there first album ( medicate - next to nothing)
and off of there new album.. i like (so cold - follow - forget it - sooner of later )

i never ever liked 3 days grace i always thought they were ****!...

sleepy jack 01-01-2006 03:47 PM

They sound the same as those other bands though...

Sabgoat 01-01-2006 03:50 PM

i don't find they do..
well number one i don't see how you think.. chevelle and cold have any thing in commmon when it comes to voice.. i don't see it at all..

sleepy jack 01-01-2006 03:52 PM

The style of music is the same, the boring generic lyrics are the same and they're both crappy MTV hard rock acts.

Sabgoat 01-01-2006 03:56 PM

i enjoy listening to them.. three of those bands i like a lot.. the onyl song by COLD i don't like is .. kill the music industry.. i thought that song was kind of crap.. there are a few ****ty songs by breaking Benjamin.. and a nice few of there songs are like super ****.. like RAIN - and - WISH I MAY - HOME ... i'm sorry but if anyone tries to tell me that HOME isn't about the wizzered of OZ i will laugh at them.. cause you hear the words.. it is so about that stupid waste of time movie...
I only got the one Chevelle album but i haven't heard a crappy song by them yet.. and i can't see it happening anytime soon.

koRnslave 03-31-2007 01:04 PM

Cold is a nice band to listen to when you don't want to listen to screaming, Wasted Years is my anthem for me and my friend.

The Unfan 03-31-2007 10:04 PM

Suckage. The only decent song they've ever done is Bleed.

acratertocoffin 03-31-2007 11:14 PM

Horrible. Saw them with Sevendust (who were actually great live) about 4 years ago and it was just painful.

tdoc210 04-01-2007 07:56 AM

LOL this band sucks
