Any Patti Smith fans out there?

I love her I think she is amazing. I have a question about 'Horses', does anyone know what it says on the back of the 'Legacy Edition' copy? It is a black font on a black and white background, most of it is invisible!

Anyway my favourite songs are Glitter In Their Eyes. Gloria and Redondo Beach.

Yeah mention Patti and everyone thinks of Horses. It is amazing though.

I just read in RS that shes covering the Stones "gimmie shelter" on her next album which also features a cover of "Smells like teen spirit" with a banjo.

Horses is awesome.

I've been rediscovering Patti Smith lately and 'Horses' has been getting a few few plays around the house.
I saw the album '12' in the local record shop at the weekend, begging to be bought.
When I noticed it consisted of cover versions, it put me off.
Somehow, I imagined the old girl was just pushing out a cd of covers for the hell of it.
I listened to 'Gimme Shelter'...and it ain't half bad!

What's the rest of the album like matious?

Patti's main talent is getting a great backing band together. She's a 5 cent poet and extremely pretentious but the music on Horses and especially Easter is incredible.

Can't believe this thread (the only Patti Smith thread as far as I can tell) hasn't been updated for five years ...
