Tuesdays Gone <3 <3 <3 <3
of course I can't hear it without thinking about Happy Gilmore. I am not sure if that is good or bad. I am gonna go with bad though. |
Hahahaha! Happy Gilmore is an AWESOME film!

I can't believe nobody's said "The Needle and the Spoon"?
Great song. Another good one: "Was I right or Wrong?" And one more for good measure: "Am I Losing" And I'm ****ing addicted to Lynyrd Skynyrd obviously because I also have a strong desire to post: "I'm a Country Boy" and "On the Hunt" None of those 5 are overplayed and are all equally ****ing brilliant. |
Railroad Song, Roll Gypsy Roll, Searchin', Travelin' Man, Trust...and their version of T For Texas is SMOKIN'!
My fav line-up of LS was the Ed King/Arrimus Pyle line-up - WAY too little documentation of that line-up. |
I definetly find Lynyrd Skynyrd to be one of the best Classic Rock bands. I saw them in concert over the summer. I know pretty much every Lynyrd Skynyrd song, due to being around them so much. "Gimme Three Steps" and "Sweet Home Alabama" were the first songs I learned on guitar. I can also play "Gimme Back My Bullets" intro. I really enjoy listening to all of their songs. All of their albums were awesome. I actually got to hear their newest song from their new album at the concert, and I have to say that it sounds awesome. "Gimme Back My Bullets" is probably my favorite album from them. I wasn't really much of a fan of "God and Guns". Three songs I've always liked are "Needle and the Spoon", "Travelin' Man", and "Saturday Night Special".

I've seen several Happy Gilmore references to "Tuesdays Gone" but I knew the song way before that movie. And still if I associate it with a movie its "Dazed and Confused" that comes to mind.
"Simple Man" and "Curtis Lowe" being some of my other favorites by them. Oh and "Ooh that smell" also another good one. |
Man that Free Bird solo needed to finish waaaay earlier.

that allen collins was a bad mofo. Some serious string bending and gets tiring after even a couple of minutes non-stop. |
I never saw them, altho I had the chance several times, even way back in the mid 70s with the classic line up before the plane crash.
Now that they are on their farewell tour, I dont know if I ever will.... But at this point Lynyrd Skynyrd is whoever Rossington says it is... it may as well be billed as Gary Rossington and Friends Play Lynyrd Skynyrd |
