Most Influential Rock Artist Ever

I've come to find:
The Who>The Rolling Stones
but that's personal preferance, The Stones were much more influential and deserve some votes.

Well, I'm glad to see that Hendrix is at least in the top three.

I think in terms of how far Rock music has come up until now, I think Hendrix should take it. Because he kind of took Rock music to a new level. Yes, The Beatles may have been a progeny to the Classic Rock scene itself, but in terms of where Rock music is now, I think Hendrix has more influence on the music we're hearing today.

I don't really think this should be a poll at all, I don't think there is any one of these musicians responsible for where Rock music has gone. It's a combination of all of these popular sounds, and if we are going on pure innovation then of course The Beatles deserve to win. Not because they influenced music, but because of the leaps they took in Recording Techniques and Technology. They took us from MONO to Stereo for crying out loud.

Again, not an Exile fan. I think it's pretty bad when your "magnum opus" is a double album that should have been a 20 minute EP.
