Zeppelin or Sabbath?!
 

i love both of these bands, for me they both helped transform rock forever a we know it.
personally id go with zeppelin just for the pure fact they made stairway to heavan, whole lotta love and in my time of dying- plus they have the greatest album ever in physical graffiti.

but anyway...what do you think?

Sabbath.

Led Zeppelin were great, but Black Sabbath founded a whole genre. They did something COMPLETELY different from what was going on in the time period; Zeppelin just took what was going on and did it better than anyone else.

zeppelin produced their first album in '68 and remember around that time we had stuff like the who, stones, beatles etc. they were completely new and their music heavier and more robust than anything else at that time. 70's fair enuf, they did everything better than anyone else- but they started it all in the first place

without sabbath there'd be no black/thrash/death metal so as i said- they are both great bands

I like both of the said bands, but Sabbath is my favorite. very underrated musicians, i think...

The Zep for me. I grew up with them because my mum was and still is a huge fan, and even though I went to school within spitting distance of where Sabbath were formed and Ozzy was born, I've always been more of a Zeppelin man.

They're both incredibly important bands though.

Robert Plant is a brummie too if that helps.

Technically Plant was a Yammer, in that he's from the Black Country, over by Kidderminster, but yeah, we'll take him. Bonham was actually banned from playing in the majority of pubs in Birmingham in the mid 60's because he was too loud.

I think he moved to West Brom after his dad kicked him out for being a hippy. He did definitely live there for a while which was when he started supporting the Wolves (BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!).

Nothing wrong with being a hippy, plenty wrong with supporting Wolves.

Both bands named are very good bands... they founded rock music... but you can't really compare the two against each other... Sabbath is a whole different genre of rock music then Led Zep is... they are the greatest of their types, but neither is greater than the other...

I'm not extremely big on either band.
But I respect them for making music for as long as they did.

But I love the guitarist of Led Zepplin. I think his name was Jimmy Page. My mind is failing me at the moment. But at any rate, the dude was freaking awesome

And Black Sabbath brought about a revolution in the music world.
Gotta appreciate them for that.

i like them pretty well, i wouldnt listen to a whole album but definately say they are great classics

zepplin without a doubt .. does it get better than dazed and confused, black dog, stairway to heaven, babe im gonna leave you, communication breakdown, or when the levee breaks? those songs set the mark for bands like black sabbath, who are talented in their own right but without bands like led zepplin to pave the way, there would be no black sabbath

well, its a tough call but i shall have to say zeppelin

i disagree. they both had distinctly different styles.

and they both paved their own paths.
