Heat Seventeen: Battle of the bands
The Kinks:
Well they’re the kinks, nuff said. Thin Lizzy: Borrowing heavily from Wishbone Ash’s trademark sound, this is probably one of the only good things to come out of Ireland, like.. ever, if you don’t count Guinness. Of course. Alice Cooper: The original shock rock king, with a huge collection of very good music this guy is the epitome of awesome. Ten Years After: You like blues? Ten Years After knows blues, I really like their debut but it doesn’t seem to get that much attention. They have a lot of good stuff. Eloy: Really good Pink Floyd clone. |
Well this is a no brainer I'm afraid.
1965 – The Kink Kontroversy 1966 – Face to Face 1967 – Something Else by The Kinks 1968 – The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society 1969 – Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire) 1970 – Lola versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part One 1971 – Muswell Hillbillies And my pick to win this contest and the event as a whole Bloody Marvellous :thumb: |
Kinks of course
|
Umm, tough one! I'll save it for later :D. I'm sure Kinks will get through anyways.
|
Eloy are great, but I'm not so predictable as to always vote for the prog band. Because I love The Kinks too much.
|
I'll go Kinks.
|
I accidentally clicked Cooper. I meant Thin Lizzy.

Quote:
The Kinks would be my first choice, but since they have enough support, I chose those crazy Germans. |
Please vote Alice Cooper
He has a late night radio show here and plays a lot of the best underground and forgotten 60's and 70's music. Stuff like, Love, Comus and the like. |
So why didn't you vote for him? Especially considering the kinks were going to get through regardless.
