Default Mc5

I consider them more punk then rock but, they could be labled as either. I've been listening to "Kick Out The Jams" nonstop for the past few hours and damn, the epicness.

MC5 "Black to Comm"

MC5 "Starship" (Sun Ra cover)

ps. I've already done a search for a few of their albums and no official thread came up sooo.

I like this live version of Kick Out The Jams
I've seen something on VH1 classics and they (Iggy and a couple of other people) were talking about the MC5. To me they sound like a mix of Frat Rock (Garage Rock) & Acid Rock, they are one of the bands that are considered protopunk.

Worthy of a place in any hall of fame for Kick Out The Jams alone, though i do prefer the Stooges.

One of the pinnacle hard rock proto bands along with the Stooges. Punk would've been very different if it hadn't have been for them.

Last time I checked they were my fifteenth favourite band. They are truly fantastic.
Here is one for you.
Which Guitarist was better.
Wayne Kramer or Fred "Sonic" Smith
I prefer Sonic.

Personally I always felt these guys were superior to The Stooges.

I'd take Kick Out the Jams over Fun House, for sure.

High Time - One of the most Under-Appreciated albums of all time!

A legendary band.

Favorite of the two guitarists, Sonic!
