Little Feat
 

Little Feat is an American rock band formed by singer-songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist Lowell George and keyboardist Bill Payne in 1969 in Los Angeles.
Although the band has undergone several changes in its lineup, the music remains an eclectic blend of rock and roll, blues, country, folk, R&B, funk and jazz fusion influences.
A most interesting subject concerning the history of this band, is the relationship Little Feat had with Frank Zappa musically.

Lowel George, great singer. After he died, I think the band never recovered. "Waiting for Columbus", has got to be the slickest live album ever recorded. I'm only saying this because "Live and Dangerous" as a boatload of studio overdubs. Little Feat could matha fukeen play!

The first three albums were great especially the third "Dixie Chicken" an absolute classic with gems like "Kiss It Off" and "Juliette" and as said above, this group sure as hell knew how to play and were never the same without Lowell George.

I don't know, I've seen this band post Lowell George several times and they still bring it. The line up that included Craig Fuller, once of Pure Prarie League, that toured behind the "Let It Roll" record was a pretty good band. Man, Fred Tackett canplay some guitar!!!! They are still out there doing it and they are very good musicians.

Without Lowell George they were just another band really.

"Waiting For Columbus" is one of the best "Live" albums of all-time.;)

You're my hero right now :) It's been bothering me for the longest time on these guy's name. Time to go get a few albums of the Itunes.
