Can anyone tell me the name of this song?

I heard this song on someone's car radio at a Gas Station in LA. I've been trying to find out what it was ever since.
It was a sort of mix of Santana's Evil Ways and something by the Doors.
I can't describe it that much better because I haven't heard it in a long time.

Anyone have a suggestion that even vaguely matches the description? Even if it isn't the song I'm looking for, I might like it anyways.
