Official: Ozzy Osbourne. (solo albums/singles)

Since I'm opening the thread myself, I select his latest album "Scream" (2010).

The first single "Let It Die" gets airplay, maybe one his most popular songs on the album. "Let Me Hear You Scream" sucks. "Soul Sucker" no good. "Life Wont Wait" 1/2 point. "Diggin' Me Down" has nice acoustical guitar on the intro, sounds like they stole a riff from Metallica. "Crucify" This is my favorite single on the album, I like Gus Gs guitar on this one. Maybe the best single on the album. "Fearless" I like this single as well, its OK. "Time" Its an OK ballad I guess. 1/4 point. "I Want It More" Another favorite of mine from the album. Its OK. "Latimer's Mercy" This single is heavy sounding and I like it..OK. "I Love You All" Its a short ballad of Ozzy thanking all the fans through the years.

Black Rain (2007)

I'm going backwards through this discography, this way, we save the best for last.

There are only two songs on this album that I actually like, I Don't Wanna Stop and Countdown's Begun. Wish I could say more good things about the album itself.
I still like to hear "I Don't Wanna Stop" every once and awhile. :p:

Diary Of A Madman definitely. Many people go for Blizzard but I find it an album where Ozzy and Randy Rhoads were both finding their feet musically whereas Diary was much less reliant on generic riffs and crowd pleasing songs.

There are a couple of good tracks on Bark at The Moon (You're No Different/Waiting For Darkness) and The Ultimate Sin has big big memories for me from childhood and is nostalgically my fave but Diary is a damn fine album.

A couple of tracks on No Rest are good (Breaking All The Rules) but I gave up by then and have never heard a single album after this release.

It was actually you jackhammer, that finally convinced me to seriously listen to Black Sabbath. I remember you saying how "Black Sabbath overshadowed Ozzy Osbourne's solo career". And you were right I might add.

I now own Black Sabbath Vol 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabotage, and Never Say Die.

But I'm still an Ozzy solo fan as well, Ive just always liked Zack Wylde on guitar. I'm not in anyway comparing him with Randy Rhoads or Jake E Lee though.

Black Label Society has released 9 different albums already and a new one is due in 2012.

ROCK ON!

You`ve finally come to your senses:laughing: Don`t forget you need Paranoid and Master of Reality as well.

Don`t tell me you really like Black Label Society!

I will be sure to get those two albums Soldier, Thank You for the recommendation.

I'm not a religious fanatic about BLS or anything like that, but I like a song or so here and there, basically the same with Ozzy's solo albums as well.

Just one or two songs here and there.

Blizzard Of Oz

Goodbye To Romance shows the softer side to Randy Rhoads style. I actually prefer listening to this single without Ozzy Osbourne's vocals.

Have to agree with killcreek on best of sabbath and ozz ... But my fav off diary was you can't kill rock n' roll. Actually, it's one of those rare albums that doesn't have one bad track.

Additionally, it may be heretic to say, but I also love Speak of the Devil and find those versions of the tunes to be sometimes better than the originals. (wait, don't shoot 'til I get the vest on)

Diary of a Madman

Over The Mountain is my favorite Ozzy with Randy Rhoads on guitar, and one my favorite solos by Rhoads as well.
