To be honest, it's pretty much the same thing as with Marillion for me.
I don't like either of their voices :D.

If you listen to Bon sing you can hear him smiling as he recalls the subject matter of the song. Just listen to Whole Lotta Rosie and you can hear him laughing at the whole situation he found himself in with a "larger" woman. Beano is a great frontman but just doesn't carry the same emotion in his vocals as Bon did.

Both. Who was the first singer? Can anyone tell me?

Bon. He died of alcohol poisoning.

Google is your friend.

easiest poll yet. Scott, hands down.

BastardofYoung 05-10-2011 06:51 PM

though, shame nobody ever mentions Dave Evans. I do not expect anybody to say he was best, but they could at least acknowledge him.

artemis 05-20-2011 07:23 AM

Bon.

Brian Johnson has done an exceptional job though.

Howard the Duck 05-31-2011 02:35 AM

no "anal beads"?

I voted Brian

SGR 05-31-2011 04:28 AM

To those who voted Brian, you HAVE heard If You Want Blood right?

BastardofYoung 05-31-2011 10:49 AM

Most likely, since you hear one AC/DC record, you have heard them all. They just made the same record over and over.

You can't have listened to the Bon Scott stuff very well then because each album sounds totally different to the one that came before it.

BastardofYoung 05-31-2011 11:19 AM

we were discussing Brian Johnson though.

If You Want Blood = Bon Scott

I agree with Urban on the Scott era albums all being different. I think for Scott studio albums, Dirty Deeds and Powerage are the best.

This is almost an impossible question. The traditionalist will always say Bon Scott but its almost as if Brian Johnson was meant to be in the band. We lost Bon so early its hard to tell. I can choose give me both!

majorguitarenvy 08-02-2011 10:45 PM

Personally I like Bon Scott better than Brian Johnson, but I admire Brian for filling Bon's role as well as he did. Those were some big shoes to fill vocally.

This is a rock-n-roll vs rock music question IMO. Bon Scott was a rock-n-roller. They had the boogie woogie, chuck berry riffs and a greaser's attitude. AC DC with Brian was just another rock band.

Have a romantic date? gotta go with Brian Wilson.

Have a tasty **** buddy? gotta go with Bon Scott.

I chose Bon Scott. Like them both though. Bon was a better lyric writer and all around singer. His charisma is missed in AC/DC

slatesphanboi 03-02-2012 10:26 AM

Brian Johnson.

Just think he is a better singer.

Bon Scott, even though he had a cooler image and alot more charisma, was just an ok singer.
