Worst album ever my ass. With St. Anger floating around?
I'm taking a stand for this album because I think it rocks. There is even a genuine blast beat circa 1970. The drums are out of control, Billy Joel shreds that organ, why is the considered the worst? It's a classic in my book, a real gem. I'm just that much cooler if I'm the only one that likes it. Lol.

I can't look at that album much beyond a novelty record. Between the band dressed in Hun grab, standing in a meat locker and songs that fall apart miserably less than 30 seconds in... yeah.

They get points for originality using only a drummer and organist and trying to play hard rock. Maybe it's because I'm not a big fan of ELP that I don't like the "lead organ" formula, but who knows. If anything, they lost me when I heard their song 'Peace Frog'--er, 'California Flash'. Unless there is some reason behind it, it's the single most egregious piece of plagiarism I've ever heard.

I thought we'd be discussing the singer for Sunn O))) in this thread. Imagine my disappointment.

By no means is it bad. In fact, it's possibly by favorite Billy Joel-related album, seriously!

OK, not that great, either, and a unique example of how much some musicians just missed the mark when it came to Progressive Rock, but I still stand beside it as something that tried. Still, it kept amused on a long ride home one evening.

I file it under: Play once so that you can say you have heard it.

To my years, I could also say that the opening was a bit of Deep Purple's version of "Hush" played sideways.

i only heard one song from it and i can't get past the one-minute mark

the organ soup is a horrendous pile of toxic waste

i honestly don't think i can go through an entire album of that shit

fuck it!

and i'm not voting because i am never going to listen to it
