Default Hendrix vs. Stones graveyard
Anyone else wonder why ALL members of the Jimi Hendrix Experience are dead, yet the Stones are nearly all still alive?

No, not really - what I do wonder is why didn't Paul and Ringo joined up with Pete and Roger. The Who lost their rhythm section and there's Paul and Ringo just sitting about the house diddling the day away you would of thought they joined forces and do something.

It's a bit strange though because JHE were for the most part younger than the Stones, anyway don't forget Brian Jones was murdered - murder most fowl. Ian Stewart, Nicky Hopkins and Billy Preston were session musicians that played with the Stones that passed away. Being associated with the Stones doesn't make you invincible.

Great observation! Some fantastic sessions players they were too!

Though not official, I always thought of Ian Stewart as the 6th member of the group, there just was not enough room on the small stages.

Thanks. I thought about Ian like that too, and I also like how the sax players were name Jim Horn and Bobby Keys - with names like that it was like they were born to play.

He drowned in his own swimming pool, i do not know who exactly was responsible.

What if Bobby Keys and Jim Horn did a tour as part of the Experience along with Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding, Mitch Mitchell. Sounds Rad!

Jagger and Richards in a way, as they conspired to remove him as the leader of the band. Brian Jones couldn't accept losing control of the band and went on a downhill spiral from which he never recovered. It was a cut throat business alright
