Moody Blues for me.

The Beatles - hands down. But they did have strong competition.
In the early 1960s I became a big fan of The Dave Clark Five and the Beach Boys before I began really digging The Beatles. I am a little bit embarassed to own up to being a fan of Herman´s Hermits and Gary Lewis and the Playboys also, for a short while. I matured and became a fan of Hendrix and The Cream when they turned up later in the decade. |

Rollings were goood. The Who is kinda 60's music trademark for me. Really can't decide. Really like Beatles too.

If we're talking about only 60's:
1.The Beatles 2.The Doors 3.The Who 4.Rolling Stones 5.Beach Boys (they are much better than The Kinks!) |

But thanks, dwill, for your typo, "The Dave Clack Five" Good call from Neapolitan for the Yardbirds, and time also to mention Traffic, Mannfred Mann, and of course, The Animals who made the pretty-much definitive version of House of the Rising Sun. Here's their cover version of another song, though I don't have a date for this:- |
Didn't see this one. I'd rank it by The Beatles, Kinks, Who, and Rolling Stones but they're all in my top ten. I'd also mention the Zombies and the Hollies as great and underrated British bands.
|
I'd say the Stones, The Beatles, The Who, then the Kinks. Like rubber soul said, The Zombies and The Hollies are certainly worth mentioning as well.
Let's not forget The Yardbirds and The Animals either. :band: |

It's still so totally mind blowing to think that three of the most important and influential guitarists in the annuls of rock were members of that band. The influence of the "rave up" concept....:clap::clap::clap: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Having..._The_Yardbirds |
