Any love out there for these good ole boys? I always thought they were underated and delivered some great music...rock with a bluesy feel s'pose.
Alvin lee was amazing, he died some years back but he is rarely sited as one of the great guitarists, shame he never got the recognition he deserved

I've never been much into their studio albums but I do dig a lot of their live performances that were recorded from the late 60's to the mid 70's.

A couple of good ones here...

Yes, they were a good, no-nonsense, hard-working band. In my high school, knowing about them (and The Groundhogs) was your entré to the club of the cool kids, so given their one-time status it is surprising how rarely they are mentioned today.

Youtube comment about Alvin Lee on the clip I just watched: Best Guitar Face Of All Time.

Alvin Lee is awesome, he almost has a tishoumaren flavour to his playing.

I have the live official release from 1973 "Recorded Live." Several of the songs on that album were from Frankfurt. Is that the one you mean?

Just noticed this live recording from 1971 on YouTube. No video, just audio, but good quality and definitely worth a listen...
