Stairway to Heaven or Child in Time?

I prefer Child in Time by a fair margin. Love Zep, but I always found STH overrated.

if you were up in a tree with a homosexual would you get down?

Trollheart 12-30-2017 05:01 PM

Yet another pointless thread from our resident Texan...

Do you mean would you descend from the tree or would you get down on him? ;)

Did Robert Plant **** your mother or something? So much animosity.

The Batlord 12-31-2017 03:01 AM

The song that isn't "Stairway to Heaven" should win this.

Yeah, man. These which song is better threads is starting to get old. Why don't you start a Member's Journal where you can list your favorite songs, groups, albums or even compare them without a poll? I always like to say that the only top ten that matters is your own. Anyway, be adventurous a little. Get involved in the other threads, join the Album Club, Bite Batlord on the nose, he won't bite back... much :D

What's with all the STH polls.

OccultHawk 12-31-2017 08:11 PM

I voted stairway goddamnit

It’s the backwards shi t

I love it

MicShazam 01-01-2018 03:50 AM

To me, Child In Time easily has the most interesting music and the best vocal performance of the two. I don't outright hate Zep, but I can't say they do anything for me either.

Led Zep ain't got nuthin'

Mr. Ed is where it's at...

Frownland 01-01-2018 06:13 PM

Easily Stairway. Deep Purple in general has always just felt like filler to me.

Can you explain me this because I don't get it?

When artists want to push out one or more songs but don't have enough enough for a whole album, they'll record a few songs to fill the space. Deep Purple often sounds like filler from a more interesting band's album. I'll give them their dues for their monumental significance in music history all day but they're not anything that I want to listen to.

Hans66 03-06-2018 05:37 AM

Ironically enough, some of their self-confessed filler songs turned into big hits.

Chula Vista 03-06-2018 05:43 PM

These 2 songs aren't even remotely similar except for the instruments used.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Paul Smeenus 03-06-2018 06:14 PM

They're both insufferable.
