Do ya think that John Lennons wife was the reason the beatles broke up?!

Its sad.... They had something BIG going.......... I dont think we will ever know 4 sure if his wife really did convince them....... Ya cant say NO really..... We dont know.......

Maybe she saw them starting to fail and suggested they get out of it who knows...... (Sometimes wives/husbands can have a big impact on things)

Good morning Frown,I hear ya!

There are about a dozen reasons why the Beatles broke up. Not only was John with Yoko but you also had Paul and Linda. The Beatles were also in disarray after Brian Epstein died and there was a conflict between Paul and the other three about management. John wanted Allen Klein while Paul wanted his father-in-law. George and Ringo sided with John.

Then, of course, you had the old tried and true musical differences. George was being cut out by John and Paul and ended up recording his choice tracks on his acclaimed All Things Must Pass. Paul and John had their own differences as noted in their solo musical directions. Ringo was more or less an innocent bystander in all of this.

Anyway, the bottom line is it's easy to blame Yoko but that isn't really fair. John could have dated your sister and she would have been blamed. It's always easy to have a scapegoat so why not a Japanese woman seven years John's junior?

Anyway, the answer is no.

^That.

And also, no.

HA! I only wish there was an option that said "No, she is definitely not the reason they broke up but John and Yoko's music is trash."

What Rubber Soul said.

Ninetales 07-03-2018 12:52 PM

hear me out: maybe their breakup was timely and a better option than them sticking together

He said there were several reasons why The Beatles broke up. That the blame can't really be pin solely on Yoko Oh No!

as already stated - Yoko was but one issue facing them in 1968 and 69. Enormous financial problems, lack of clear leadership or purpose after Epsteins death...

Sir Paul being a buttnik and telling everybody how and what to play....

Lennon practically ignoring Harrison's new songs.... Harrison farther and farther into Hinduism and spirituality which made him less and less interested in farting around with the secular world and then after an argument with Lennon, he quit....

then lawyers got into it and pissed everybody off... except Ringo, who just wanted to play... and Sir Paul even drove him to quitting.

With the microscope of Beatlemania focused on them, its a wonder they lasted as long as they did.

Hmmmmmm I thought YOKO did it as she was tired of it all........

atimnie 10-26-2019 06:39 AM

Even Paul, who hated Yoko, said she was not responsible.

Dude111 11-02-2019 12:52 AM

Well im glad to hear that!! (Alot think she was)

Psychedelic Revolution 02-19-2021 05:05 PM

Maybe. If a single person can be the ultimate demise of a band then that doesn't say much about a bands unity.
