Its gotta be TOUCH ME which I first had on a 45 in the 80s and I remember listening to it at my cousins house.... A few months ago I found another 45 of it :)

Quite strange indeed....Its nice having it again in analogue!

Uhm, all of them?

rubber soul 07-05-2018 04:22 AM

Yeah, she can be annoying, but occasionally, she can come up with something listenable

WARNING: close your eyes while listening :D

Lisnaholic 07-05-2018 05:55 AM

^ Of course your warning guaranteed that I'd watch the video, rubber soul. It wasn't as offensive as I'd hoped, but has some embarrassing moments it's true.

I vaguely remember Yoko's unusual screeching style, which was treated as a joke by many when she started out as a singer, but by the time that Double
Fantasy
came out, she had mellowed and public taste had caught up with her style: I for one quite liked her contributions to that album. But sorry, OP, they are the opposite of her strangest:-

God damn she has no ass! John on the other hand...

That's what She Said She Said.

Thank you everyone for your entries :)

I wanted to find the clip of Yoko sitting onstage covered in a blanket, doing her hallmark Wasabi banshee cattle call noises. But instead I found a video of John & Yoko onstage with Chuck Berry. This is such a train wreck. The English and American accents clash. Yoko drive the final nail in the coffin when she steps up to the mic and does her impersonation a ray gun. Lennon thought she was genius on par with Paul McCartney!? I guess Love is not only blind, love is deaf too.

Chuck Berry & (John Lennon and Yoko Ono) - Memphis Tennessee

^ Ah yes, the one where Chuck Berry's eyes pop out. Yoko was in rare form on that day

^ That's a great description, Neapolitan. I bet you'd never say that in front of John Lennon!

The Batlord 07-06-2018 10:35 AM

Give me a chance to troll the Beatles and I'd make enemies with every 60s rock fan.

Be nice or I'll call Violent J a clown.

Nah - you're right - probably not. Though I might say it to the members of the Plastic Ono Elephant's Memory Band. I'm sure they'll never forget that joke.

Here's a vs. thread that even MB didn't think of. Lots of pics but zero information unfortunately. Is there any recording of Cynthia singing? That could've really improved this youtuber's effort:-

rubber soul 07-09-2018 06:38 AM

She doesn't scream as loud as Yoko

atimnie 10-27-2019 05:06 AM

Cynthia Lennon was a much better singer than Yoko, even better than Linda.
