I don't know. I know Jeff Lynne, the creative force behind ELO, was a huge Beatles fan and a lot of their music does have that kind of melody. What's being referred to though I don't know. I'm pretty sure they never covered it, so I guess what's being said is that they used the melody in one of their songs? If so, I'm not aware of it.
