A lot of fake bands actually have pretty good music so what I want to know is what your favorite is.

(And by fake I mean along the lines of Dethklok, Spinal Tap, The Beets. That kind of thing.)

If you don't have a guitar with good distortion, and a heavy bass sound coming from the bass guitar and bass drums, you do not have the core sound of metal. (Or good metal anyway.)

my advice would be whatever songs you choose to learn, learn the whole song thats where you develop ur skills. as for songs you cant go wrong learning simpler led zepplin and black sabbath stuff.
