Axl is certainly a distinctive vocalist - way too many bands sound derivative in respect of vocals. GnR always had the recipe for an all time great band, but left the world thinking "wtf happened?"....

Always thought that Illusions should've been one record, not two - like you say, some "average at best" to wade through to get to the really good tracks. Wasn't there a Best Of Illusions release not...
