The Om Lounge compilations are a few years old but they still stand up really good. I could see that stuff being piped into a nice trendy type of club or bar. Better than your average chill lounge...

Knowing what I know about the different styles of jazz today..If I was just getting into it I would go straight to the 60's hard bop, specifically Art Blakey & Jazz...
