Ya I understand. But Soundgarden may have started off as grunge, but their whole style is wrapped up in "Rock" ... grunge is just too sloppy. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the occasional Nirvana...

King Diamond and Merciful Fate
They sound awesome instrumentally, but very hard to listen to them when the vocals come in. Can't stand the high pitch whiny vocals.
