This is driving me crazy!! When I listen to these two songs by top Russian rock icon Zemfira (she sells out stadiums there), I hear either Beatles or Paul McCartney... I think. But what songs!? Or is...

have to pipe in - also dislike Rodgers for this role, though i like him in general. This is just completely wrong for the Queen vibe & it seems to me there were 1000s of other choices.

I got into it in the early 90s when electronic...

I got into it in the early 90s when electronic music was tormenting me. I heard what sounded like singer songwriters from the 70s and I liked the emphasis on great vocals.

I do not think he was king of pop at all - this is a silly title that belongs to no one. Maybe king of over-processed bubblegum pop? Was not a fan of his super hyper muted over produced pop sound....
