Even though I grew up on pop music, other types of music were always around the home, and I loved Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture and Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.

I saw Philip Glass in Manchester a few years ago...

I saw Philip Glass in Manchester a few years ago with his Ensemble, and they were mesmerising. His book is excellent too. He’s a one-off. His music is perfect for film too, for example Koyaanisqatsi.
