Nu metal....what a joke!
You know, just because you turn the gain on a Marshall amp to ten, tune the top E string on you guitar to a D and sound all pissed off ( but mostly whiney)
does not make you a metal band!!!! No...

I'd have to say Kreator... and I guess that is because they were a bit closer to the kind of stuff I liked in the late 80's early 90's I loved Venom, Celtic Frost, and Bathory. Then well came along...

That is kind of hard to pick..... are we talking what everyone thinks is heavymetal ( like Korn, Limp Biskit, and they sound alike bands that followed) or the bands metal purest like me would go...

You know I'm from the USA damn proud of it too, but when it comes to black metal Norway has a lock on it!!! I think it is because mostly not a lack of talent, no it is a culture thing. History wise...
