GarageBand Alternatives?

Anything you guys reccomend that is like GarageBand? I do not have an Apple, but I would like a good music making program. Not afraid to spend a couple hundred if the program is really great.

What are some good sticks and cymbals for punk drumming? I currently use Vic Firth A5 drum sticks. I have white Pearl Forums with black hardware. I think I want to buy Paiste Rude cymbals for my kit....
