It IS fixed. New posts view new=unread posts. The only change is that if you log out unread posts remain unread. You have to mark them as read manually.

"new posts" link now points you to new UNREAD...

"new posts" link now points you to new UNREAD posts . This change was is caused by thread marking type. It's no more depended on cookies (buggy and unreliable) but on database marking.
