I think the simple fact is that Metallica got too big before their time. With Burton's demise they lost their way and I'm sure we would have seen them exploring many musical avenues with a lot more...

That is absolutely ****ing brilliant. It's a virtual note for note recreation but it still has it's own identity. I was worried to how they would manage the breakdown and subsequent guitar harmonies...

Master Of Puppets blew my balls off when it first came out and a listen a few days confirmed to me that it's still one of the best Metal albums ever made. That riff in Orion is sublime.
