Jake Holmes wrote "Dazed And Confused" and it was released in 1967. The Yardbirds decided to do their own arrangement of the song, but not long afterwards, Page left the band....

"Black Mountain Side" and "Dazed And Confused"...
"Black Mountain Side" and "Dazed And Confused" are two examples of songs that Page did not write and took full credit for. The band was successfully sued for plagiarizing music. It's right there....
