I know it was a reflection of his life, I just meant in a way like we all have that dark euphoria to our lives and Kurt was one to really bring it out in people...

Nirvana is great. Their music wasn't exactly depressing but it had some sort of dark euphoria to it...it was happy all while being depressing, maybe it was a reflection of Kurt's life.
