I'd say The Enigma Variations was the first...

I'd say The Enigma Variations was the first classical piece that I actually enjoyed all the way through, and kickstarted my interest in the genre.

I never really understood why the Moonlight...

I never really understood why the Moonlight Sonata was so popular. The first two movements are rather boring in my opinion. The third, though, is joyously angsty.
