Really? I mean, maybe for it's influence, but I never found any of the doom games that much fun. I would substitute XCOM:UFO Defense in for doom and it's pretty much a perfect list.

Lol, I wound up with a free copy of counter strike in my steam games list so I gave it a whirl. I got booted from the server after like five minutes because I was so hopeless :D

I really like the 64 controller, it sat in the hand really comfortably and I never had any trouble with the button layout. But it's been ages since I played one, so I could be forgetting how it was....

Yeah, I like this sort of fix it yourself stuff. My friend's tv has a problem where the volume suddenly spikes and his solution is to smash it repeatedly with his skateboard until it goes back down....

I really couldn't care about how cute or cartoony a game is, but a sense of atmosphere is completely necessary and alot of the more mediocre realistic games that get pumped out don't accomplish this....
