I tend to agree. It's a good album but too ambient, not abstract enough.

Yeah Autechre is pretty cold, calculated and clinical for the most part. Some of it becomes more lush and warm with repeat listens...some of it does not. They're a hard listen. I live for the moments...

I find Confield to be one of their least accessible, personally. I'm not sure which I would recommend, really. Perhaps Chiastic Slide or Draft 7.30, though Amber may be the most accessible.
