Yeah Kate Winslet did fine, but I don't think it was an Oscar-worthy performance especially considering her performance in Revolutionary Road. And Angelina Jolie was nominated for Changeling.

Yes, skip The Reader if you can, it was painful. Kate Winslet was nothing special either. She was so much better in Revolutionary Road. I don't understand how that movie got snubbed so badly.
