Put it this way, before Oasis there wasn't any big british bands doing big gigs, and they have influenced alot of new bands.

Britpop is just a term for the types of bands around at the time lead...

I would say noel gallagher as a person as he is far more genuine, Funny & generally has a better personality.

I love them both musically - however Noel Gallagher simply changed the face of pop...
