Ideology. The Italian Futurist composers were tightly bound with the movement itself. I think even Filippo Tommaso Marinetti himself composed a few pieces.

Actually, as long as you make it with a guitar, and throw it in a verse-chorus song, 99% of rockers will appreciate complete nonmelodic noise as music. Or, take hip-hop, which often assembles sounds...
