I'm not really gonna argue for or against Grunge or Britpop in a way... both were solid movements in the 1990's with some good music. Obviously I think Nirvana and Oasis were the best things to come...

Let me clarify, I don't think that grunge sounds like that sort of stuff, perhaps my description was a bit flippant... I just think at the base of it all of this sad/angry American music is coming...

Maybe I'm biased as a U.K. Rock fan but I think Britpop as a movement and the general emphasis on British rock towards melody and even tempo/rhythm just owns the U.S. and their moaning "ohhhh my life...

Underrated in the sense I think they should be as big in the States as they are in the U.K., and even in the U.K. they have lost a bit of luster, which is ridiculous because Don't Believe The Truth...
