I've always found his music to be boring, but...
I've always found his music to be boring, but I'll admit what he did was very unique and interesting... So, I naturally have a lot of respect for him. If you really like his work, then I recommend...

Mayo Thompson is probably my musical hero... Well, either him or John Cage, who isn't just a musical hero, but also a role model in terms of how he conducts himself and how he looks at life.
