Coincidentally I listened to Animals on my way to work this morning and definitely enjoyed the music more than the lyrics though the lyrics aren't necessarily bad. Just very focused. Works as a whole...

I think I said this years ago but I still think Animals is incredible. Granted it's a rather short album in comparison but I love it as a whole.

How is that obvious? The obvious / more popular answers in my opinion would be Wish You Were Here, Animals, or The Wall. And judging by the poll, Dark Side of The Moon.

I think that's why The Wall gets a lot of flak though. They aren't listening to it for the music strictly. Personal issues with band members shouldn't make people dislike the music they create.

Wasn't Waters the one who got way too personal while recording The Wall? He had the "I am Pink Floyd" mentality. The band didn't leave him, he left them.
