Actually, Call the Doctor was the first Sleater-Kinney album I heard as well! But it didn't impress me on that first listen and later in the same day I listened to the Woods and that's what got me...

To be honest, I need to listen to Call the Doctor more. I don't think I prefer it to their post-Dig Me Out work, but I don't remember disliking it at all!

Sleater-Kinney might be one of my favorite of the 90's...
