Probably money. If she starting making more experimental and challenging music she's lose her fan base and fortune. She's essentially a fraud who has a brilliant marketing team behind her.

I'd take Rihanna over her for the simple reason she doesn't have the pretension of telling everyone she is making intelligent arty music. They're both dumb pop basically and wouldn't listen to either.
