I like his harder songs also, but to have the ability to sing No More Mr. Nice Guy and then pull off a song such as Only Woman Bleed screams versatility........in my opinion.

That is a interesting opinion. I think his last album had a song on it that may have spurned some airplay that "Last Man On Earth " kind of a campy inspired thing......
