I am guilty of hedonism
I do what I want
When I want

I do not revise
I do not edit
I do not look back

I live without regret
I chase my own pleasure
I seize every day like I'm dying

If nothing matters
If there's no god
Watching over
Judging
Blazing the trail
Then I must blaze my own
As I see fit

If nothing matters
Everything matters
Nihilism is a philosophy
And I don't have time for navel-gazing

I will breathe the ocean air
Until the sun goes down
And I will taste the fruits of the trees
With or without your permission

I will be human
Whether you like it or not
I will forge my own destiny
And cast you aside like a stone

You will see me
And you will weep
For you will have your purity
And the love of your maker

But I
I will have stories
And songs
Panpipes for your children

I will lead them through the labyrinth you have constructed around them
They will have life while you grow old
They will run to the real world
While your pride keeps you chained to the wall
