Maybe, maybe not. Its use can be different.

Discrimination is differentiating between things (in this case people) based on their qualities and characteristics. It can be a negative thing or a positive thing. You have to discriminate between your left and right shoe, otherwise your feet become very uncomfortable. You also discriminate between people every day, people you know and people you don't, attractive and unattractive people, etc. Discrimination is a pretty general term for identifying differences between things and people.

Prejudice is a pre-conceived bias for or against something/someone (usually used in the against sense) which is taken before examination of the facts about the thing/person being judged.

Not quite the same. Discrimination also generally involves an action, whereas prejudice is more a state-of-mind. 'To discriminate' is a verb which is done to the object of discrimination, 'to prejudice' is a verb which is done to the person who may then carry out the discrimination.
